it is a CX Series KVM Switch Remote Unit designed to provide remote user access to computers or servers connected through a ServSwitch CX system. It supports VGA monitor, USB keyboard and mouse, and analog audio, making it suitable for server rooms, control centers, and data centers.
It includes built-in skew compensation to correct signal timing differences across long CATx cable runs, ensuring clearer video performance over extended distances. It can connect directly to a CX Matrix Switch or to a CX Server Access Module for point-to-point extension. The unit supports remote operation up to 980 ft (300 m), depending on cable quality and installation conditions.
This Black Box KVM extender receiver is widely used in server management, KVM matrix systems, control rooms, secure equipment areas, and technical workstations requiring reliable VGA, USB, and audio access over CATx cabling.
